The activity in Patagonia is exhilarating and at the same time tranquil and takes you to a very peaceful place in the wilderness. Itinerary
Day 1: Bike across pampas to an old estancia
Puerto Natales – Cerro Guido
In the morning, you will meet up with your bike guide at our office in Puerto Natales. You will be fitted for a mountain bike at this time. Your guide will briefly go over the itinerary for the next few days. Afterwards, you will drive for about 1 hour to Cerro Castillo. Here, you will begin biking! There will be a support vehicle following you for as long as possible. The ride is mostly flat across vast pampas. The stunning Sierra Baguales will be on one side of you and Torres del Paine will be straight ahead of you. The night will be spent in a beautiful farmhouse on an estancia called Cerro Guido. You will enjoy a home-cooked meal before a well-deserved sleep.
Total Distance: 35 kilometers / 21 miles - Difficulty Level: Beginner or Intermediate or Advanced.
Day 2: Bike towards Torres del Paine
Cerro Guido – Torres del Paine
In the morning, you will begin biking to Torres del Paine on an old farm road for approximately 3 hours. You will have impressive views of Paine Massif and Sierra Baguales, which are a couple of imposing mountain ranges in the park. You will see Laguna Flamencos as well, which is a beautiful lagoon frequented by flamingos. Eventually, you will arrive to a place called Laguna Azul. It is possible to bike to the campground at Las Torres from Laguna Azul. If you wish, it is also possible to jump in the support vehicle to be driven to the campground instead.
Total Distance: 31 kilometers / 19 miles - Difficulty Level: Beginner or Intermediate or Advanced.
Day 3: Visit Laguna Azul
Torres del Paine – Puerto Natales
Today, you will drive back to Laguna Azul. Here, you will begin biking on a gravel road. The trail is a mixture of rocky areas and grassy patches. The trail includes many small hills as well. On a clear day, it is possible to see the famous peaks of Las Torres from specific points along the trail. You will eat lunch along the shoreline of Laguna Azul. Afterwards, you will continue biking around the lake weaving in and out of forests and up and down hills. Eventually, you will reach a tranquil beach where it will be an easy cruise to the finish line. Finally, you will be driven back to Puerto Natales.
Total Distance: 37 kilometers / 22 miles - Difficulty Level: Intermediate or Advanced.
