Itinerary
To carry out this activity we will meet at the start time at the Bigfoot Base Camp, located on the northeast coast of Grey Lake. We will begin with a brief introductory talk, in which our guide will explain the route and the times of the activity, and then give us the complete equipment (ice axe, crampons, harness and helmet). Once equipped, we will sail for 15 minutes in a Zodiac boat until we reach Nunatak Island, located on the west arm of the Grey Glacier. Once there, we will start a 1-hour walk to reach the glacier from a safe point. Then, we will start the long-awaited journey. We will walk for 2 hours and a half through the glacier, observing a unique landscape, with cracks, rivers, lagoons and even tunnels of different shades of white and blue. Once the hike is over, we will return by Zodiac boat to Bigfoot Base Camp.
