Itinerary
The Full Day Torres del Paine tour starts at your accommodation in Puerto Natales, from where we will head to Villa Cerro Castillo, the capital of the Torres del Paine commune, located 59 kilometers to the north. This journey, approximately 45 minutes long, is ideal for enjoying the landscape, which includes Magellanic forests, glacial valleys, mountain formations, and lakes along the route. If the weather is favorable, there is a possibility of spotting condors in their nesting areas.
Our first photo stop will be at the viewpoint of Lake Sarmiento, where you can get a privileged view of the Paine Mountain Range. With good weather conditions, you can admire a complete panoramic view of the Torres del Paine massif, the southern extension of the Andes Mountain Range, and the majestic Lake Sarmiento. Then, we will continue towards an iconic point of the tour: the Laguna Amarga viewpoint, famous for its stunning view of the granite towers and for being the natural habitat of flamingos, who often find ideal conditions for feeding there.
We will continue towards the main entrance of Torres del Paine National Park, where we will do the entrance registration before continuing with our itinerary. During the tour, we will visit several viewpoints, including Nordenskjöld Lake, Salto Grande, Pehoé, Weber Bridge, Paine River, and Grey Lake. At this last point, we will have free time for lunch (service not included in the rate) and explore the surroundings if the weather permits.
After the break, we will resume the journey leaving the National Park through the southern section. Our last stop within Torres del Paine will be at the Grey Viewpoint, one of the most impressive points of the Y-290 route. From here, you can appreciate the mountains that dominate the western sector of the province, the immense Toro Lake, and, if conditions are favorable, a part of the Grey glacier.
To conclude the day, we will head to the Natural Monument Cueva del Milodón, one of the most visited protected areas in the Magallanes region, after Torres del Paine National Park. In this site of great historical value, our guide will share information about the archaeological and paleontological research carried out in the area.
